Intern 2027 - DRAM Customer Enablement Engineering

Role Summary

The DRAM Customer Enablement Engineering intern supports validation and enablement of Micron DRAM products across server, client, and mobile platforms. The role works with hardware, firmware, systems, and data analytics engineers to perform bring-up, testing, debugging, and automation to accelerate product readiness for customers.

Work is hands-on in lab and engineering environments, focusing on platform bring-up, data-driven analysis, tool development, and customer-facing troubleshooting.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current undergraduate or master's students; suitable for candidates with approximately 0–2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties during the internship.

  • Assist platform bring-up and validation for server, client, or mobile systems using Micron DRAM.
  • Support system-level testing, characterization, and debugging of memory-related issues.
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize large datasets to identify trends, reliability concerns, and performance insights.
  • Develop and improve Python-based automation and analysis tools to streamline testing and reporting.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, and automation tasks.
  • Support evaluation of memory architectures and RAS (reliability, availability, serviceability) features.
  • Prepare technical reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings to engineering teams and leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve customer issues.

Requirements

Required skills and qualities; education expectations are listed separately below.

  • Basic programming experience in Python, C, C++ or similar languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfort working with large datasets.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team and to communicate technical results clearly.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Nice-to-have:

  • Coursework or hands-on experience in computer architecture, memory systems, or semiconductor devices.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments, SQL, or cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization, and statistical techniques.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (for example, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) or automation frameworks.
  • Exposure to server hardware validation, performance benchmarking, or large-scale testing.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
