Interface IP Application Engineer (Pre-sale)
Role Summary
Provide pre-sales technical support for Synopsys Interface IP by working with sales and customers to define SoC/ASIC micro-architecture and evaluate IP solutions. Drive technical engagements to successful closure and relay customer needs to product engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities focus on technical customer engagement, solution definition, and cross-team coordination.
- Collaborate with sales to identify and understand customers' technical and business challenges.
- Work directly with customers to develop ASIC/SoC micro-architecture that leverages Synopsys IP.
- Demonstrate and enable customers on how IP solutions meet requirements and assist evaluation activities.
- Communicate customer requirements and feedback to product engineering to influence the IP roadmap.
- Organize and lead technical meetings involving multiple internal and external teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this customer-facing pre-sales role.
- Experience with one or more high-speed interfaces (examples: DDR/LPDDR, PCIe/CCIX/CXL, SerDes, MIPI, Ethernet, USB, HBM, die-to-die interfaces, HDMI/DP) or equivalent interface integration experience.
- ASIC/SoC micro-architecture experience (bus fabric, CPU/GPU integration, address mapping) including work with high-speed interfaces.
- Familiarity with SoC implementation flows: RTL design and verification (Verilog/SystemVerilog), synthesis and static timing analysis, physical design flows, and testbench creation/simulation.
- Strong technical communication skills in both Mandarin and English - able to present complex technical concepts clearly in verbal and written form.
- Customer-facing experience and ability to coordinate multi-team technical efforts.
- Nice-to-have: prior pre-sales or application engineering experience with IP products.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 8+ years of relevant ASIC/SoC design experience, or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 5+ years of relevant ASIC/SoC design experience. Focus areas referenced include ASIC/SoC design, interface integration, and micro-architecture.
