Intelligent Power Devices Expert (Principal Analog Engineer)
Role Summary
Technical leader for development of next-generation Intelligent Power Devices (IPDs). Owns system and design decisions across concept, design, validation, qualification and production readiness for automotive-grade smart switch products. Leads cross-functional teams, mentors engineers, and aligns stakeholders to deliver reliable, power-efficient IPD solutions.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 10 years of experience in IPD (Intelligent Power Device) development.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical direction, product quality, and delivery of IPD projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical leadership and define system and design architectures balancing performance, reliability, power efficiency, area, and cost.
- Lead cross-functional development teams through concept, design, verification, validation, qualification, and production readiness.
- Drive design verification, modeling, simulation, and test methodologies to achieve robust first-pass silicon.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate silicon- and system-level technical risks to ensure predictable project execution.
- Ensure compliance with automotive reliability and functional safety standards (e.g., AEC-Q100, ISO 26262).
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and technical deliverables; provide hands-on support for evaluation and complex debugging.
- Collaborate with design, verification, test, quality, and application teams and mentor engineers to build IPD capabilities.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and capabilities:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IPD development.
- Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Extensive knowledge of Power MOSFET (PoMOS) design, structure, and characteristics used in IPDs.
- Strong understanding of PoMOS driving methods in IPD applications.
- Proven experience in IPD testing, validation, and reliability assessment.
- Solid knowledge of thermal design principles and device thermal management.
- Experience working to automotive reliability and functional safety standards (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262).
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of EMC and ESD design and testing.
