Intel Foundry LTD Product Yield Engineer

Role Summary

Work in Intel Foundry's Logic Technology Development (LTD) organization to identify and resolve yield limiters for leading-edge logic process technologies. The role drives data-driven solutions, enables new product introductions, and improves manufacturability and yield across technology nodes.

This is an on-site role supporting product ramp and production-quality objectives in collaboration with process, design, equipment, and factory teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level - requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in advanced semiconductor devices and process flow.

Responsibilities

The engineer will analyze data, identify root causes of yield loss, and implement process and product changes to improve yield and manufacturability.

• Develop methods and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse manufacturing and defect data for yield modeling.
• Perform statistical analysis, create visualizations, and build process development roadmaps to meet yield milestones.
• Extract insights from structured and unstructured fab, defect, and electrical data and identify anomalies driving process changes.
• Develop multivariate algorithms and tools to identify root-cause yield limiters and recommend process changes.
• Collaborate with design teams to resolve yield issues and enable design-technology co-optimization before production ramp.
• Participate in new product introductions and design-of-experiments with factory task forces.
• Develop measurement recipes and rapid-feedback methods to verify product integrity and address yield-impacting issues.
• Create and harden operational systems for leading-edge logic nodes and work with equipment vendors and internal teams.
• Develop AI/ML applications and computational tools to reduce debug time and improve design-to-manufacturing flow.
• Document procedures, train colleagues, and support debugging of equipment and software in production as required.

Requirements

• Must-have: 2+ years of experience in advanced semiconductor devices and process flow.
• Must-have: Practical experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, and coding for data extraction and analysis.
• Must-have: Experience interpreting fab process, defect, and electrical data and applying insights to drive process changes.
• Must-have: Demonstrated root-cause analysis and yield-improvement delivery in a manufacturing or development environment.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with data analysis systems and software tools and with yield projection using EOL signals and in-line parameters.
• Nice-to-have: Project or program management experience and demonstrable ability to work across matrix organizations.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Ph.D. in a semiconductor-science-related STEM field such as engineering, physical science, computer science, or a related field.
