Integrated Circuit Test Engineer - Intern

Role Summary

Intern position on the Test Engineering team in Lviv focused on developing and maintaining test programs and procedures for Renesas integrated circuits. The role includes executing tests across temperature ranges, collecting and analyzing results, and verifying devices against specifications.

Fixed-term assignment with opportunity to work with lab equipment and cross-functional engineering teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship suitable for students or recent graduates. Typical experience: 0–2 years. Fixed-term contract approximately 6 months.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test program development, test execution, and result analysis.

• Develop and maintain test programs for Renesas ICs using C/C++ (Perl or C# advantageous).
• Collect, analyze, and document test data; verify device behavior against specifications.
• Create and run tests across temperatures from –40°C to +150°C.
• Use standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators) to perform measurements and debug setups.
• Troubleshoot test setups and collaborate with engineers to resolve failures.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes for successful candidates.

• Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuitry.
• Basic C/C++ programming skills and experience developing test programs.
• Familiarity with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and generators.
• Understanding of algorithms and logic element principles.
• English proficiency at least B1 level.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and improve technical skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in mixed-signal IC testing or a similar role.
• Soldering skills for troubleshooting and repairing test equipment.
• Experience with Perl or C#.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing study or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
