Job Title

IC System Level Testing Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA Networking's IC silicon product engineering team to own system-level testing and validation for advanced network adapters, switches and interconnect products. The role drives technical SLT (system level test) activities from early bring-up through production readiness, ensuring reproducible, customer-like validation environments.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical guidance: 3+ years of hands-on engineering or validation experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include system bring-up, test definition and execution, and cross-team coordination to ensure high-quality IC screening.

  • Take end-to-end technical ownership of SLT activities from kickoff to production readiness.
  • Ramp up new SLT systems: define HW/SW setup, validate system readiness, and ensure stable, reproducible environments.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, HW, FW, SW, Data, Operations, Marketing and production sites to define coverage and validation requirements.
  • Collect product information from documentation, stakeholders and hands-on bring-up; translate into SLT coverage and test requirements.
  • Develop and execute system-level test plans using existing automation and test frameworks.
  • Debug and improve SLT tests and flows: test stability, logging, pass/fail criteria, and failure reproduction.
  • Participate in chip and system bring-up and technical validation activities.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required for this role.

  • 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience in system validation, product/test engineering, or silicon validation.
  • Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven hands-on experience debugging across HW/SW/FW boundaries.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and common debug tools.
  • Ability to work independently, own tasks end-to-end and set priorities.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and drive open issues to closure.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with silicon pre/post validation.
  • Experience with chip, system or lab bring-up activities.
  • Scripting experience (Python or similar).
  • Experience with networking products (NICs, switches, DPUs/SoCs) or interconnect technologies.
  • Experience with automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines or validation infrastructure.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering (with strong electrical hands-on experience) or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
