Role Summary

Design and integrate Design-for-Test (DFT) solutions at the top level for complex ASIC/IC projects, focusing on testability, ATPG/ATE interfacing, and test optimization. The role works within the silicon/IC design and test engineering organization to ensure chips meet production test and failure-analysis requirements.

Primary mission: reduce test time and improve DFT flows across multi-power-domain designs while supporting ATE bring-up and failure analysis.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies senior experience: typically a Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree plus 10+ years.

Responsibilities

Accountable for DFT architecture, implementation, and test delivery across designs.

• Lead top-level DFT planning and integration for ASIC/IC designs.
• Develop and operate ATPG flows and manage ATE interfaces and bring-up.
• Perform failure analysis and support debug of test failures.
• Drive strategies to reduce test time and optimize test coverage.
• Use Siemens Tessent tool suite extensively for DFT tasks.
• Apply synthesis, formal verification, STA, and simulation specifically for DFT modes.
• Implement DFT across multi-power-domain architectures.
• Troubleshoot DFT-related issues and drive methodology and flow improvements.

Must-have

• Extensive experience with the Siemens Tessent tool suite.
• Proven experience with ATPG workflows and ATE interfaces, including ATE bring-up and failure analysis.
• Experience applying synthesis, formal verification, STA, and simulation for DFT modes.
• Experience implementing DFT in multi-power-domain designs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience improving DFT methodology and flows.

Nice-to-have

• Experience driving test-time reduction and test optimization at scale.
• Familiarity with test production flows and ATE test program considerations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of related experience; at this level a post-graduate degree is typically expected, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of related experience.
