Job Title
IC Design Engineer
Role Summary
The IC Design Engineer will design digital blocks and integrate them into system-on-chip (SoC) products. The role works with cross-functional teams to develop block specifications, implement RTL, and support SoC infrastructure such as bus matrices, memory interfaces, clocking, and power/reset management.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect and design digital blocks based on system and block requirements.
- Create block specifications and define interfaces in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Select design approach and partitioning for complex digital blocks.
- Implement designs via RTL coding, following quality and coding guidelines.
- Integrate digital IP and blocks into SoC infrastructure.
- Develop and support SoC infrastructure: bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power and reset management.
- Work on integration of mixed-signal and RF IP into digital SoC environments.
Requirements
Minimum requirements:
- Practical experience in RTL coding and implementing digital block designs.
- Experience integrating digital blocks/IP into an SoC and developing SoC infrastructure (bus, memory interfaces, clocking, power/reset).
- Ability to produce clear block specifications and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience integrating mixed-signal or RF IP into digital SoCs.
- Familiarity with SoC-level design trade-offs and system-level requirements.
