Role Summary

The IC Architect role at Monolithic Power Systems involves leading the definition and development of Automotive Communication Bus Transceiver ICs. The position requires collaboration with customers and design teams to ensure the successful delivery of innovative power solutions.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Lead the definition of the Automotive Communication Bus Transceiver ICs and draft datasheets for new products.
• Communicate with customers to assess market trends and adjust specifications for new products.
• Collaborate with designers to define and develop new IC products.
• Evaluate new product ideas through simulation and experimental verification, and work with the team to build prototypes.
• Work closely with Design and Application Teams to create Road Test plans and address issues in product development.

Requirements

The following skills and experiences are required:

• More than 3 years of experience in Application Engineering specific to Automotive Communication Bus Transceiver Testing and Verification (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
• A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication is mandatory.
• Proficiency with test instruments like OSC, VNA, and Logic Analyzers.
• Experience with Automotive Communication Bus EMC testing and debugging.
• Strong fundamentals in Circuit Theory, Microelectronics, Signal Processing, Communication, and Power Electronics.
• Good English writing and reading skills; oral English is a plus.
• Ability to conduct literature research and reviews.
• Creative, self-motivated, responsible, and a strong team player.

Education Requirements

A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication is required.
