Responsibilities
Primary duties performed on a shift schedule to maintain and improve manufacturing performance.
- Monitor and refine process control to improve yield, quality, equipment performance, and wafer output against area benchmarks.
- Analyze process performance using SPC, FDC, DOE and other engineering methods; detect trends, manage excursions, and lead problem resolution.
- Lead and escalate issue resolution for process, tool, defect, yield, and output problems to restore and stabilize production.
- Create and maintain operational procedures, checklists, documentation, and training materials to ensure standardized execution and compliance.
- Use data analytics and visualization tools, including AI-enabled analytics, to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decisions.
Requirements
Key must-have skills and working conditions, followed by preferred qualifications.
- Must-have: More than 2 years' experience as a semiconductor shift process engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Must-have: Hands-on experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and formal problem-solving techniques for complex manufacturing data.
- Must-have: Proficiency with one or more programming, scripting, analytics, or visualization tools (examples: Python, Java, MATLAB, Tableau, Microsoft Office).
- Must-have: Able to work in a cleanroom on 12-hour rotating shifts (3β4 workdays per week; rotation between day and night every four months).
- Must-have: Experience analyzing manufacturing or engineering data and making process decisions based on technical findings.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with fab process areas, processing equipment, supporting systems, and data collection/warehousing practices.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with data cleansing, querying, and applying analytics to manufacturing or operational improvements.
- Nice-to-have: Experience using AI-assisted tools or interest in developing agentic AI workflows to improve analysis, reporting, or operations.
