HSIO Validation Engineer

Role Summary

The HSIO Validation Engineer role at NVIDIA is focused on validating and troubleshooting high-speed interfaces for NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, and SoCs. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all components meet performance and safety standards while engaging in design improvements and system-level validation.

Mid-level, requiring a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Planning and executing validation for HSIO interfaces such as PCIe/NVLINK/C2C.
• Driving schedules, customer issues, and manufacturing yields while providing design feedback.
• Coordinating with various design and engineering teams to facilitate chip production.
• Developing methodologies to enhance the silicon validation process.
• Ensuring interoperability with other device components.
• Engaging with multi-functional teams for product design and release.

Requirements

Necessary qualifications include:

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Deep understanding of PCIe protocol and validation methods in a post-silicon environment.
• Expertise in signal integrity concepts and high-speed/SERDES functional validation.
• Experience with lab equipment used for validation.
• Familiarity with firmware and driver structures.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python.
• Strong project management and collaborative skills.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
