Works cross-functionally with architecture, SoC design, validation, test, system, software and quality teams to take products from pre-silicon readiness through post-silicon bring-up and high-volume manufacturing.
Focus areas include HVM execution, yield and reliability qualification, characterization, and enabling product introductions at advanced nodes and 2.5D/3D ICs.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 16 years of product engineering experience (as stated in the posting).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Collaborate with line-of-business and architecture teams to understand and translate product requirements into manufacturing plans.
- Own technical pre- and post-silicon operations across product engineering, aligning with design, packaging, software, silicon validation, characterization, test and quality.
- Serve as the Product Engineering point of contact for multi-functional collaborators and OSAT partners.
- Lead post-silicon manufacturing test flow, yield improvement, silicon and package reliability qualification, PVTF characterization and electrical failure analysis on ATE/SLT.
- Work with partners to enhance yield and characterization methodologies, including integrated sensor frameworks and yield-mitigation strategies.
- Drive execution of manufacturing flows at OSATs during high-volume manufacturing.
- Travel internationally up to approximately 20% for company and partner meetings.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience (items explicitly required by the posting):
- Minimum 16 years of product engineering experience including manufacturing test, yield improvement, silicon characterization and reliability qualification.
- Broad expertise in structural and functional test concepts and DFT/software diagnostics (Scan, BIST, sensors, functional on ATE and bare metal, SVOS, SDC on SLT).
- Strong understanding of device physics, digital/mixed-signal design, foundry and assembly processes, and CPU/GPU/SoC power and performance dependencies.
- Proficiency with IC data tools such as Silicon.da/Optimal+, JMP and data log parsing scripts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong initiative, and ability to engage and share knowledge with collaborators.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in SoC design and/or DFT.
- Experience in yield analysis.
- Software scripting skills.
