High-Speed SerDes Interface Evaluation Leader

Role Summary

The High-Speed SerDes Interface Evaluation Leader is responsible for leading the technical evaluation of high-speed interfaces in automotive SoCs, particularly the R-Car series. This role requires collaboration with design teams and IP vendors to ensure the quality and reliability of high-speed interfaces through rigorous evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Leading the technical evaluation of high-speed SerDes interfaces such as PCIe, CSI, DP, and UCIe for automotive SoCs.
• Overseeing practical evaluations including signal quality assessments, stress testing, and compliance checks.
• Organizing evaluation specifications, designing evaluation items, and compiling results.
• Collaborating with design and SoC teams as well as IP vendors to diagnose issues and explore solutions when defects arise.
• Leading evaluation and design members both domestically and internationally to enhance quality standards.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Practical experience in evaluating or verifying high-speed interfaces, including SerDes and PCIe.
• Experience analyzing defects through direct evaluation and stress tests.
• A strong ability to organize results and engage in technical discussions with design teams.
• Knowledge of analog circuits and characteristics pertinent to evaluation (PLL, PHY, jitter, noise, SI/PI).
• The ability to collaborate technically in English with design sites in India and Vietnam.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

• Experience as a lead or sub-lead in evaluations related to specific high-speed interfaces.
• Skills in high-speed signal measurement and analysis using tools such as oscilloscopes and BERT.
• Experience in quality and reliability assessments for automotive SoCs or demanding products.
• A desire to expand collaboration scope across design and SoC areas.
