High Speed Analog Design Lead

Role Summary

This position is for a circuit designer who will work on high-precision custom circuit blocks for AMD's microprocessor designs. The role requires collaboration within a team that handles a wide variety of essential IP in the Digital and Analog/Mixed-Signal domain, serving products across multiple business units.

Experience Level

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in circuit design, along with effective communication and documentation skills. Candidates’ ability to innovate and improve efficiency will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of individual circuit blocks in a SerDes PHY design utilizing cutting-edge FinFet technology.
• Responsible for circuit design, layout quality, and conducting electrical and timing analysis as well as reliability checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as RTL, Verification, and Physical Design.

Requirements

The candidate must have considerable hands-on experience with SerDes and/or DDR circuit designs at recent technology nodes, including FinFet. They should also possess a thorough understanding of power-performance trade-offs in high-speed SerDes designs, with direct experience in various phases of design analysis, including functional, static timing, and electrical sign-off. A strong grasp of the impact of variation on design performance is crucial.

Education Requirements

A Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, specializing in microelectronics or a related field is desirable.
