HIG HBM PE Staff Component Validation Engineer
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Staff Component Validation Engineer (HIG HBM PE)
Role Summary
Lead validation for HBM/DRAM components and validation platforms at Fab 10A, Singapore. Own test program development, validation execution, data pipelines, and silicon debug to ensure product readiness and throughput goals.
Collaborate with global teams to run time‑bound validation cycles, produce decision‑ready reports, and drive closure of quality and reliability issues.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 8+ years of relevant experience; at least 2 years of HBM validation experience expected.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning and executing validation runs, platform leadership, analysis and simulation, automation, and mentorship.
- Lead end‑to‑end validation run execution; manage schedules, risk‑aware re‑plans, and efficient IQP/ETV material usage.
- Develop and operate automated data pipelines for log parsing, metrics aggregation, anomaly ranking, and decision‑ready reporting.
- Ensure coverage across MBIST and validation flows; drive Hot/Cold corners, TSV screen/AQLK, async timing boundary coverage, and evidence‑based closure.
- Develop and debug test programs on SM3/Cobra and Advantest V93K; enforce code quality, reviews, and release discipline.
- Align hardware configurations (handler, socket, loadboard, probe card) to test intent and throughput targets.
- Perform power/thermal characterization; correlate IDD/thermal data with performance and reliability and recommend content or silicon fixes.
- Architect and execute Verilog simulations (bench creation, stimulus, checkers, waveform analysis) to replicate sightings and validate hypotheses.
- Build automation scripts and dashboards for anomaly detection, trend analysis, and coverage auditing.
- Lead cross‑functional silicon debug and drive corrective action closure with clear root‑cause evidence.
- Implement cycle‑time optimization strategies (parallelization, smarter sampling, content pruning, throughput tuning).
- Coach junior engineers on validation best practices, simulation methodology, and reporting standards; partner with global sites for material readiness and platform enablement.
- Identify and apply AI‑driven solutions to streamline workflows and support data‑driven decision making.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and experience.
- 8+ years in DRAM/HBM/NAND validation or product engineering; minimum 2 years HBM validation experience.
- Test platform code development using C/C++, Python, and APG (Algorithmic Pattern Generator).
- Strong expertise in MBIST (SM3/Cobra) and Mode (Advantest V93K) testing.
- Verilog simulation experience: bench architecture, stimulus/checkers, waveform/log analysis, and correlation to platform behavior.
- Proven ability to execute validation runs and perform high‑speed I/O validation including eye and IDD characterization.
- Advanced scripting and data analytics skills; experience with Confluence, Jira, and version control (Git or Perforce).
- Demonstrated ability to lead debug across Design, Verification, Quality, and System Engineering and to drive corrective action closure.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (as stated in the source).
