Head of Quantum Product Management, Quantum Technology Solutions

Role Summary

Lead product management for GlobalFoundries' Quantum Technology Solutions business, defining and commercializing modality-specific quantum compute platforms (photonic, ion trap, neutral atom, and other emerging modalities).

Own product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plans; translate customer requirements into scalable semiconductor manufacturing platforms and technology roadmaps that enable transition from research prototypes to manufacturable quantum systems.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 15+ years of product management, strategic marketing, business leadership, or technology commercialization experience in semiconductors, photonics, advanced packaging, or quantum technologies.

Responsibilities

Drive growth and commercialization of GF's quantum compute platform portfolio and work with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver manufacturable quantum platforms.

• Own business growth, profitability, product strategy, and roadmap for modality-specific quantum compute platforms (photonic, ion trap, neutral atom).
• Define product offerings: process technologies, integration flows, design enablement, and manufacturing solutions to scale quantum processors.
• Engage with strategic customers to capture architecture roadmaps, technical requirements, and commercialization needs.
• Translate customer needs into market requirements, platform specifications, and development priorities for the QTS team.
• Lead go-to-market strategy, build business cases, form ecosystem partnerships, and manage strategic customer engagements to accelerate adoption.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging modalities to guide investment and portfolio decisions.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred professional qualifications (formal degree expectations are summarized in Education Requirements below).

• 15+ years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, business leadership, or technology commercialization within semiconductors, photonics, advanced packaging, or quantum technologies.
• Proven P&L ownership and track record launching and scaling complex technology platforms from concept through commercialization.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, photonics, process technology development, and technology roadmapping.
• Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams across business, engineering, and R&D organizations.
• Strong customer-facing skills and executive-level communication.
• Willingness to travel - approximately 25%+ of time.
• Preferred: direct experience with photonic, ion trap, or neutral atom quantum computing, silicon photonics, integrated optics, lasers, optical interconnects, or quantum photonic devices.
• Preferred: familiarity with quantum hardware architectures, scaling challenges, manufacturability, and experience working with startups, hyperscalers, research institutions, or government programs.
• Preferred: existing network within the global quantum ecosystem and experience establishing strategic technology partnerships.

Education Requirements

Advanced degree required in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Materials Science, Quantum Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Preferred: MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
