Hardware Verification Senior/Staff/Senior Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Verify and validate Network-on-Chip (NoC) and interconnect IP/subsystems for Qualcomm System-on-Chips. Work within the Qualcomm Interconnect Technology Center (QITC) to develop verification plans, implement checkers and coverage, run regressions, and improve verification flows.
Role requires interaction with architecture, design, and global deployment teams to ensure NoC solutions meet performance and coherency requirements.

Senior β the posting targets experienced engineers (ranges specified from 3 to 20+ years of SoC/IP verification experience).
Responsibilities
Primary verification duties and team contributions include:
- Assess technical specifications and develop verification plans for IP or subsystems.
- Implement functional checkers, assertions, and testbenches; run and maintain regression suites.
- Implement and track coverage and performance metrics.
- Debug failures and support cross-team debugging and integration activities.
- Report progress, contribute to KPI improvement, and document verification results.
- Participate in verification methodology and flow enhancements and automation efforts.
- Support NoC architecture and deployment activities across global locations as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed after must-haves.
- Must-have: Several years of SoC/IP hardware verification experience (posting indicates 3+ years as typical).
- Strong understanding of bus protocols and data coherency (AMBA family) and hardware communication protocols such as AXI and AHB.
- Experience with Network-On-Chip (NoC) architectures and their role in complex SoCs.
- Proficient in C/C++ and experienced with Python for automation and scripting.
- Experience with RTL languages and verification (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and common methodologies (UVM).
- Familiarity with RTL verification tools (examples: Cadence NCSIM, Synopsys VCS/Verdi) and version control (Git, SVN).
- Comfortable working in Linux and using standard office tools (documentation, spreadsheets, diagrams).
- Good problem-solving, communication, teamwork skills, and ability to support debug across teams.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to memory, interconnect or other SoC subsystem design/verification, SystemC, system-level modeling, analog design exposure, silicon bring-up/test experience.
Education Requirements
Posting requests a technical degree or equivalent experience: Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering or related field (with ~2+ years relevant ASIC work), or Master's degree (with ~1+ year), or PhD in Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering fields.
