Hardware Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement verification environments and test plans for configurable interconnect and subsystem IP used in single-die and multi-chiplet systems. Work closely with design and software teams to deliver validated IP for data center, infrastructure, AI, automotive, and edge markets.

Experience Level

Senior — expects 8+ years of hands-on verification experience at block/IP/SoC level.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and maintain verification plans for highly configurable IP (interconnects, memory subsystems, caches, coherency, NoC).
• Develop UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, checkers, scoreboards, and test sequences to exercise functionality and corner cases.
• Integrate software-driven configurable testbenches and coordinate with software teams on test harnesses and stimuli.
• Run simulations, analyze failures, perform root-cause debug, and improve coverage metrics.
• Collaborate with design engineers to close verification gaps and support integration into SoC or multi-chiplet platforms.

Requirements

Technical must-haves and preferred skills.

• Must-have: 8+ years of hands-on block/IP/SoC verification experience.
• Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog and deep experience with UVM-based testbenches.
• Must-have: Familiarity with industry-standard EDA simulation and debug tools.
• Must-have: Experience with Python or similar scripting/programming for verification automation.
• Must-have: Knowledge of Arm AMBA protocols (AXI, APB, AHB) and experience with caches, cache-coherency, memory subsystems, interconnects, or NoC design/verification.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Arm CHI protocol.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with formal verification techniques and emulation platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
