Role Summary

Join the hardware verification team to own the emulation environment for a next-generation NPU. The role covers platform bring-up through full-system integration and verification prior to tape-out. You will work across Korea and US engineering teams to influence silicon quality and schedule.

Experience Level

Senior — 8+ years of industry experience in hardware emulation or system-level verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include emulation bring-up, system-level debugging, and integration of I/O and memory subsystems into the emulation environment.

• Bring up next-generation NPU designs on emulation platforms and maintain the emulation environment.
• Root-cause complex system-level test failures and resolve emulator-environment issues.
• Integrate and validate high-speed protocol models (PCIe, Ethernet) in the emulation flow.
• Integrate advanced memory subsystems (HBM, DDR, LPDDR) for full-system testing.
• Define emulation strategies and detailed test plans; drive verification execution to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Collaborate across time zones with engineering teams in Korea and the US.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items noted separately.

• 8+ years in hardware emulation or system-level verification for complex SoCs.
• Hands-on experience developing, compiling, and deploying emulation models on platforms such as Synopsys ZeBu and Cadence Palladium.
• Deep knowledge of AI accelerator/NPU architectures, interconnect buses, high-speed I/O protocols (PCIe, Ethernet), and memory interfaces (HBM, LPDDR, DDR).
• Proven ability to integrate protocol and memory models into emulation environments and troubleshoot system-level issues.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple time zones.

• Experience writing production-grade, meticulous test plans.
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking protocols.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
