Role Summary

As a board designer in the Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing individual projects and working in conjunction with the team that develops all first Si hardware boards, backend packaged test components, and systems for the AMD/Xilinx Adaptive Embedded Computing products.

Experience Level

The ideal candidate is an experienced hardware engineer with a proven record of ownership and delivery, particularly in high-speed PCB design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate hardware design strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Drive core aspects of the hardware design process from concept to production.
  • Provide technical guidance in hardware design, focusing on SI & PI.
  • Support management of budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of hardware components.
  • Manage external suppliers and vendors for sourcing components.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Proven collaboration within hardware engineering teams, strong self-direction, and reliable on-time delivery are key requirements. Candidates should have expertise in high-speed PCB design, proficiency with Cadence Allegro and Capture CIS, and experience developing ATE and characterization boards. Familiarity with automation and scripting is advantageous.

Education Requirements

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
