Role Overview

As a Hardware Development Engineer at AMD, you will oversee individual projects within the Hardware Engineering team, focusing on the development of first silicon hardware boards, backend packaged test components, and systems for AMD/Xilinx Adaptive Embedded Computing products.

Main Duties

  • Develop and communicate hardware design strategies congruent with AMD's objectives.
  • Lead the hardware design process from conceptualization to production.
  • Offer technical expertise, particularly in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).
  • Manage budgets and resources to meet project timelines and goals.
  • Collaborate across various functional teams to ensure seamless hardware integration.
  • Work with suppliers to source necessary components and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Stay informed on technology trends and emerging practices in hardware design.

Essential Requirements

Strong experience in high-speed PCB design, proficiency in schematic capture and layout, and familiarity with technical tools and processes.

Education Requirements

A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required to qualify for this position.
