Hardware Design Engineer 6 Interconnect Design

Role Summary

Join the Interconnect Design team in Roskilde to design, optimize and validate high-speed interconnect and transceiver hardware for data-center products. The role covers PCB and transceiver design, system bring-up, characterization, qualification, and cross-functional project leadership.

Experience Level

Mid-level 6 3+ years of experience in electronic circuit design or datacom/telecom systems testing.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include hardware design, validation, and project execution across hardware, firmware, and system domains.

• Develop and optimize interconnect and transceiver hardware, including PCB design and component selection.
• Lead system bring-up, testing, characterization, and qualification activities.
• Plan and execute module, component, and system-level validation and reliability testing.
• Drive and manage cross-functional projects involving hardware, firmware, and system teams.
• Document designs, test procedures, and validation results for handoff to manufacturing and QA.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• 3+ years of experience in electronic circuit design or datacom/telecom systems testing.
• Experience owning or driving transceiver development projects end-to-end.
• Proactive, product-oriented mindset with demonstrated ownership and initiative.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience with at least one programming language for automation or test development.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across hardware, firmware, and system teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Background in packaging technologies and optoelectronic components.
• Experience with high data-rate system characterization, RF testing, and optical system validation.
• Exposure to product manufacturing, process development, qualification, and reliability testing.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
