Job Title

Graphics Engineer

Role Summary

Investigate new GPU technologies across graphics, compute, and machine learning and evaluate how they apply to Arm GPUs and Arm-based systems. Work within Central Technology on early-stage prototyping to define direction, validate ideas, and assess technical trade-offs for hardware, software architecture, and APIs.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Suitable for candidates with several years of relevant experience in GPU or graphics software development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on analysis, prototyping, and quantifying improvements to mobile graphics on Arm GPUs and assessing implications for hardware and software.

  • Analyze GPU features and graphics workloads to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prototype algorithms, drivers, or system-level changes to validate concepts.
  • Quantify benefits and trade-offs for hardware design, software architecture, and APIs.
  • Collaborate in small, cross-functional teams to define direction and share prototypes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

  • Solid understanding of modern GPUs and graphics use-cases.
  • Hands-on experience with Vulkan, DirectX, or Metal (proficient in at least one).
  • C++ development experience and familiarity with common development tools (e.g., version control).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for explaining complex technical subjects.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience or interest in ray tracing, neural graphics, or ML workloads on GPUs.
