Job Title

Graduate Talent (IP Logic Design Engineer)

Role Summary

Entry-level engineer responsible for designing, developing, and verifying Intel proprietary IP blocks for client/consumer I/O products. The role is part of a silicon and platform engineering team focused on delivering IPs that integrate into larger system architectures.

Work includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, building testbenches and automation, and validating IP functionality and performance to meet design requirements.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Graduate. Suited for recent graduates or engineers with limited professional experience in digital IP design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include IP design and validation, integration, and supporting infrastructure for verification and testing.

  • Design, develop, and verify proprietary IP blocks for client products.
  • Integrate IPs into larger system architectures with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user-facing guides.
  • Perform simulations and testing to validate functionality and performance against requirements.
  • Develop and enhance verification infrastructure: testbenches, scoreboards, monitors, and test content.
  • Debug and troubleshoot IP-related issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Develop scripts and tools to automate verification and improve execution efficiency.
  • Support process improvements to ensure timely delivery of high-quality IPs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.

  • Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with digital design principles, simulation, and verification methodologies.
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python, Perl, or Shell scripting).
  • Exposure to EDA tools (for example ModelSim, Synopsys VCS) and common industry protocols.
  • Experience developing or working with verification infrastructure and testbenches.
  • Ability to debug hardware/verification issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional integration work.

Nice-to-have: prior internship or project experience in IP or SoC design, familiarity with consumer I/O technologies, and experience building automation for verification flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is listed as the minimum qualification.
