Job Title

Graduate Talent (Analog Layout Engineer)

Role Summary

Entry-level analog layout engineer responsible for executing custom layout implementation and physical verification tasks for analog and mixed-signal IP used in SoC and IP designs. Works as an individual contributor under guidance from senior layout and circuit designers.

This role supports short development cycles within a central engineering team focused on product enablement, custom ASIC work, and foundry enablement.

Experience Level

Entry-level (0–2 years of relevant experience or strong academic exposure in analog/custom layout design).

Responsibilities

Typical duties include implementing layouts, running verification flows, and supporting signoff under supervision.

  • Implement analog and custom layout for assigned blocks using Virtuoso, Custom Compiler, or equivalent tools.
  • Run and debug physical verification checks including DRC and LVS; perform density and reliability checks.
  • Execute EM/IR verification (e.g., RedHawk, Totem or equivalent) and perform ESD/latch-up checks where applicable.
  • Follow layout constraints from circuit designers and layout leads; support layout iterations, ECOs, and signoff closure.
  • Adhere to established methodologies, checklists, and quality standards; document layout issues and support design reviews.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Must-have: Strong academic exposure or practical experience in analog/custom layout design; 0–2 years experience.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with custom layout tools and flows (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Custom Compiler) and physical verification processes (DRC, LVS).
  • Must-have: Basic understanding of analog layout practices, matching concepts, layout-versus-schematic consistency, and manufacturability/reliability considerations.
  • Must-have: Ability to work as an individual contributor under technical guidance; strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with EM/IR tools (RedHawk, Totem or equivalents), ESD/latch-up checks, and signoff procedures.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field as specified in the posting.
