Role Summary

The Graduate Design Tooling Engineer will join the Arm System IP team to work on innovative design methodologies and tooling automation, significantly impacting product design efficiency and collaboration within various teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level, suitable for recent graduates or those nearing graduation with relevant degrees.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing custom solutions to render RTL aligned with architectural requirements.
  • Implementing new methodologies and tooling using industry-standard EDA and design tools.
  • Creating innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, automation, and flexibility for the design team.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of hardware design and design principles.
  • Strong interest in computer architecture demonstrated through academic or research projects.
  • Understanding of modern EDA tools and logic design fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in quality coding, scripting, and software development.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, etc., and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience, is required by August 2026. Alternative degrees may be considered with relevant experience.
