Job Title

Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role on an analog/mixed-signal design and verification team. The engineer will design and simulate analog building blocks, support design verification and collaborate with layout, lab and validation teams to bring silicon through characterization.

The role involves circuit-level design and simulation, testbench optimization for mixed-signal verification, debugging, documentation, and support for silicon bring-up and bench testing.

Experience Level

Entry-level (early-career). Typical candidates are recent graduates or engineers with 0–2 years of relevant hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Key technical responsibilities:

  • Develop schematics and perform circuit analysis and pre-layout simulations for analog/mixed-signal blocks.
  • Optimize and run testbenches for analog and digital signal verification.
  • Simulate and validate building blocks such as precision low-power analog circuits, I/O, data converters, and clock-generation IP.
  • Debug and troubleshoot analog/mixed-signal circuit issues through simulation and lab measurements.
  • Coordinate with physical/layout teams on layout-critical requirements and perform post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
  • Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization; work with lab technicians on measurements.
  • Prepare clear design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and verification results in technical reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

  • Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
  • Hands-on experience in the design and simulation of data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
  • Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and verification methodologies.
  • Experience running simulations, debugging circuits, and preparing technical documentation.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills; able to present technical results in reviews.

Nice-to-have:

  • Power management IC design experience.
  • Experience using AI tools for design and verification.

Education Requirements

Graduated within the last year with a Master’s or PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a closely related technical field is preferred.
