Job Title
Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level engineering role on an analog/mixed-signal design team responsible for circuit design, simulation, verification and silicon bring-up of analog I/O, data converters and clock-generation IP. The position works closely with verification, physical design and lab teams to deliver validated silicon.
Experience Level
Entry-level — recent graduate (position targets candidates graduated within the last year).
Responsibilities
Primary hands-on responsibilities include design, simulation, verification and support for prototype silicon.
- Design verification: collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification.
- Circuit design: create schematics, perform circuit analysis and run pre-layout simulations to validate design intent.
- Simulation: validate analog/mixed-signal building blocks (precision, low-power analog, I/O circuits, data converters, clock-generation IP).
- Debugging: troubleshoot circuit and system-level issues through simulation and lab measurements.
- Documentation and reviews: prepare design documentation and present architecture, implementation and validation results in technical reviews.
- Collaboration with physical design: define layout-critical requirements, perform post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
- Testing and bring-up: support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation and characterization; coordinate measurements with lab technicians.
Requirements
Required technical skills and practical experience to perform the role; preferences listed where applicable.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with Cadence mixed-signal design tools.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience designing and simulating data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
-
Must-have: Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including simulation and debugging.
-
Must-have: Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical results clearly.
-
Nice-to-have: Power Management IC design experience.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience supporting silicon bring-up and bench characterization.
Education Requirements
Graduated within the last year with a Master’s or PhD preferred. Fields mentioned: Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance. (Degree preference specified in source.)
