Job Title

Graduate - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role within an analog/mixed-signal design team focused on circuit design, verification, and silicon bring-up for precision and low-power analog/I/O blocks. Work closely with cross-functional teams including physical design and lab technicians to validate designs from schematic through post-layout verification and characterization.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate). Targeted at recent graduates (0–1 years), including candidates finishing a Master’s or PhD and early-career engineers.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include schematic and simulation work, verification, and support for silicon evaluation and documentation.

  • Design and analyze analog/mixed-signal circuits; perform pre-layout simulations to validate design intent.
  • Develop and optimize testbenches for analog/digital signal verification in collaboration with verification teams.
  • Simulate and validate building blocks such as precision and low-power analog circuits, data converters, and clock-generation IP.
  • Debug and troubleshoot analog/mixed-signal circuits; perform post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
  • Support silicon bring-up, bench evaluation, and characterization; coordinate measurements with lab technicians.
  • Produce clear design documentation and present architecture, implementation, and validation results in technical reviews.
  • Collaborate with physical design teams on layout-critical requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience to perform the role; listed as concise musts and nice-to-haves.

  • Must-have: Proficiency with the Cadence mixed-signal design tool suite.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience in design and simulation of data converters and/or clock-generation IP.
  • Must-have: Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, simulation, and debugging.
  • Must-have: Experience creating/verifying testbenches and performing post-layout verification.
  • Must-have: Good written and verbal communication, time-management, and teamwork skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Power Management IC design experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience using AI tools to assist design and verification workflows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with bench evaluation and coordination of silicon characterization.

Education Requirements

Graduated within the last year with a Master’s or PhD preferred in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Assurance. (Posting targets recent graduates; equivalent practical experience not specified.)
