GPU Modelling Intern
Role Summary
Internship within Arm's GPU Modelling Team working on cycle-accurate micro-architectural models used across product teams and with external partners. Models are implemented in C++ and maintained in a UNIX development environment.
This internship begins in June 2027 and runs for approximately 10 weeks. Work will be supervised and involve multi-site collaboration on design and verification tasks that affect GPU quality and performance.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Intended for current undergraduate or master's students returning to their studies after the placement.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities during the internship include:
- Implement and modify C++ model code that represents GPU micro-architecture details.
- Work with supervisors and team members across sites to deliver tasks and meet project milestones.
- Run and analyse simulations; contribute to model validation and quality improvements.
- Document work, present results to the team, and incorporate feedback.

Core technical and communication requirements.
Must-have
- Proficient in C++ programming, including modern C++ standards.
- Understanding of computer architecture concepts (e.g., CPU pipelines, caches).
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with computer graphics concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Exposure to modelling platforms (e.g., SystemC, gem5) or simulation environments.
Education Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in and returning to a higher-education degree program: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Academic transcript is requested. Candidates must already have the right to work in Norway for the full internship duration (no visa sponsorship provided).
