Job Title

GPU Modelling Graduate Engineer

Role Summary

Join Arm's GPU Modelling Team to develop detailed C++ micro-architecture models used internally and delivered to external partners. You will model GPU components, validate model behaviour against hardware, and contribute to multi-site development projects that influence future GPU design and quality.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate). Suitable for recent graduates or candidates completing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD and joining a graduate program.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on modelling, ownership of components, verification against hardware, and collaboration across global teams.

  • Develop and maintain C++ micro-architecture models of GPU components.
  • Take ownership for assigned components and features within the model.
  • Correlate model behaviour against hardware; investigate and fix discrepancies.
  • Debug performance and functional issues in models and testbenches.
  • Work with distributed, multi-site teams and deliver models to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document designs, model assumptions, and test results; participate in design reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and communication abilities; nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Proficient in C++ with familiarity with modern standards (C++11/C++14).
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture (CPU knowledge expected; GPU experience is an advantage).
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to debug complex systems and reason about low-level behaviour.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across geographically distributed teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of computer graphics concepts.
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with modelling platforms such as SystemC or gem5.

Education Requirements

Hold, or be on track to hold, a university degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field by the programme start date. Applicants are requested to provide an academic transcript as part of their application.
