Job Title
GPU Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the Graphics IP team within Intel's Data Center Group. Responsible for pre-silicon RTL design verification of GPU/IP used in integrated, discrete and data-center products.
The role works closely with architects, micro-architects, structural designers and simulator experts to define verification scope, develop test plans and testbenches, implement coverage and assertions, and drive verification closure.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 10+ years of experience in silicon design and verification (pre-silicon RTL, IP/functional verification).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with architects and design teams to define verification requirements and strategy for GPU/IP blocks.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches and verification environments.
- Create test plans, write coverage and assertions, and drive coverage closure.
- Perform pre-silicon RTL verification and functional/IP-level validation.
- Debug complex interactions with CPU/GPU architecture and front-end design flows and tools.
- Automate verification tasks and flows using scripting (Python, Perl, Shell).
- Communicate results, trade-offs and verification status to cross-functional stakeholders and balance multiple tasks.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; listed concisely:
- Strong experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM in pre-silicon verification.
- Proven ability to develop test plans, testbenches, coverage and assertions, and achieve closure.
- Expertise in IP and functional verification and familiarity with front-end design/verification flows and tools.
- Debug experience related to CPU/GPU architecture and design interactions.
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, Perl, Shell) for verification flows.
- Good verbal and written communication; effective team collaborator.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and learn continuously.
- Nice-to-have: prior experience in IP development teams and exposure to GPU-specific architecture work.
Education Requirements
BS/BTech or MS/MTech in Electronics or Computer Engineering (the posting specifies these degrees and fields). The role specifies 10+ years of silicon design development experience.
