GFX IP Verification Lead
Role Summary
Lead planning and execution of verification for AMD graphics IP, ensuring correctness of new and existing features through directed and random testing, coverage analysis, and cross-team debugging.
Work with architects, RTL, firmware and software teams to define test plans, build verification environments, and close functional and code-coverage gaps.

Responsibilities
Primary verification and coordination responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, hardware, firmware and driver engineers to define verification scope and feature interactions.
- Create test plans covering feature interactions with hardware, firmware, and drivers.
- Estimate development effort for tests and testbench changes.
- Develop directed and constrained-random tests and UVM testbenches.
- Debug test failures, determine root cause, and work with RTL/firmware teams to resolve defects.
- Analyze functional and code coverage; extend or modify tests to meet coverage targets.
- Improve verification flows, efficiency, and automation in distributed compute environments.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills. Education requirements are listed separately below.
- Must-have: Proven experience in IP-level ASIC verification, including building tests and UVM-based testbenches.
- Proficient debugging of RTL and firmware using simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog/UVM and Verilog; experience with C and C++.
- Comfortable working in Linux and Windows verification environments.
- Experience with verification framework development and coverage-driven verification.
- Good problem-solving and cross-site collaboration skills; exposure to mentoring or leadership is an asset.
- Nice-to-have: Graphics pipeline or multimedia/video codec experience, SystemC/TLM familiarity, HLS exposure, scripting (Perl, Ruby, shell, Makefile), and experience optimizing simulation performance or acceleration.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
