GenAI Staff Software Engineer

Role Summary

Senior software engineer responsible for architecting and delivering production-grade generative AI, RAG, and agentic AI solutions for EDA (Design and Verification) products. The role sits on an engineering team that collaborates with product and business stakeholders to embed AI capabilities into tools used by chip designers and verification engineers.

The position emphasizes building scalable, secure microservices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and integrations with large language models and agentic frameworks.

Experience Level

Mid-level / Senior: requires approximately 5+ years of software development experience focused on AI/ML applications.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities include designing, implementing, and operating GenAI and agentic AI systems integrated into EDA products.

• Architect and develop GenAI, RAG, and agentic AI applications and AI copilots for Design and Verification products.
• Design and deploy multi-step agent workflows and agent-to-agent integrations.
• Integrate with LLM providers (OpenAI, Claude, Amazon Bedrock, LLaMA, etc.) and evaluate model behavior.
• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices for secure, scalable integration.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and productization practices to deliver production-ready software.
• Establish observability and evaluation frameworks (logging, tracing, prompt tracking, quality metrics).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical patterns and architectural standards for GenAI features.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Strong proficiency in Python with good coding discipline and testing practices.
• Experience building AI/ML applications and using agentic frameworks.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments and production settings.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and practices.
• Experience with microservices architecture and API development.
• Experience establishing observability, logging, and evaluation for AI systems.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience with specific LLM providers and RAG patterns.
• UI development experience with Angular or React.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
