Role Summary
Join the Tensilica Products Group to design, build, and maintain processor-generator user interfaces and supporting infrastructure. Work spans Eclipse-based IDE components, web applications, VS Code/Thea integrations, REST APIs, and database systems.
Responsible for the full product lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and cross-team collaboration with hardware and architecture groups. Build tooling that developers rely on daily.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain IDE and web platform features, backend services, and test infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and maintain components of an Eclipse-based IDE and integrations for VS Code/Thea.
- Develop Web REST APIs and servlets to support remote functionality and database access.
- Implement and maintain web applications for customers and internal infrastructure.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements; adapt and improve existing software for performance and new hardware.
- Evolve SQL and other databases to support new features and scale.
- Engineer automated tests and integrate features into releases; support test phases.
- Collaborate with hardware, architecture, IDE, and support teams to deliver features.
- Integrate Agentic AI workflows into product features where applicable.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience building applications within IDE frameworks (Eclipse, VS Code, Thea).
- Experience building React web applications that interact with SQL databases via REST services.
- Experience developing and evolving SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing and building test systems for web and IDE-based applications.
- Fluency scripting and automating tasks on Windows and Linux systems.
- Foundational understanding of computer architecture and close collaboration with processor/architecture teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and initiative.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience developing AI agents and Agentic AI workflows.
Education Requirements
Posting specifies either a Master’s degree in computer science or a related field plus 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of related experience. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
