Role Summary

The Front-End Silicon Design and Integration Engineer will join the Security IP team to design and verify embedded microprocessor subsystems and hardware accelerators. This role supports System-on-Chip (SoC) products across multiple business areas such as client computing, servers, graphics, and gaming.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing RTL synthesis strategy and scripts for synthesis and PPA analysis.
  • Performing netlist ECOs and resolving discrepancies.
  • Automating RTL static design rule checks.
  • Contributing to design verification infrastructure and methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have skills:

  • Proven understanding of RTL design and ECO principles.
  • Knowledge of FE design tools such as Design/Fusion Compiler and Prime Time.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Understanding of gate-level circuit design.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Exposure to RTL coding techniques for QoR.
  • Experience with VCS/Verdi verification environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
