FPGA Silicon Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the PCIe IP design verification team to develop and execute verification plans for FPGA IP. The role focuses on creating testbenches, developing tests and coverage goals, debugging failures, and driving bug closure to ensure IP quality.

Experience Level

Mid-level - typically around 5 years of IP/SoC design verification experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver verification for FPGA IP from plan to closure; ensure coverage and quality targets are met.

• Create comprehensive verification plans based on IP architecture and specifications.
• Develop IP, subsystem, and system-level testbenches and verification environments.
• Write tests, define and measure coverage goals, and analyse coverage results.
• Debug failures, file and drive bugs to closure.
• Apply assertions and coverage-driven verification methodology (UVM/SystemVerilog).
• Interface with third-party vendors and evaluate VIPs, tools, and methodologies.
• Improve and document design verification processes within the FPGA development flow.
• Provide pragmatic solutions to complex verification problems and meet schedule targets.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.

• Strong SystemVerilog, UVM, and Verilog skills.
• Proven experience with coverage-based verification methodology and assertions.
• Knowledge of PCIe protocol (required).
• IP/SoC design verification experience (hands-on with testbench and coverage-driven flows).
• Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to work to schedules and lead verification tasks.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with Perl, Python, or Java.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with Intel Quartus or Xilinx Vivado.

Education Requirements

Minimum: MSEE or BSEE (or equivalent). The posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of formal degree. No specific additional certifications listed.
