Job Title

FPGA Silicon Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Perform functional verification of FPGA designs by developing and executing verification plans, testbenches, and simulation environments to validate microarchitecture and system-level behavior. Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, physical-design, systems, and software teams to identify, debug, and resolve design issues.

Focus areas include pre-silicon functional verification, simulation for power and timing analysis, and improving verification infrastructure and methodology.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum 7 years of relevant verification or FPGA design verification experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing verification to ensure the design meets specifications.

  • Develop verification plans, testbenches, and verification environments to achieve coverage against microarchitecture specifications.
  • Implement and run system and gate-level simulations for functional, power-aware, and timing analysis.
  • Replicate, root-cause, and debug pre-silicon issues; define and implement corrective measures.
  • Automate and run regression tests; maintain and improve verification infrastructure and methodology.
  • Collaborate with FPGA architects, RTL developers, physical-design, systems and software teams for integration and design reviews.
  • Document verification strategies and drive technical reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proven experience with SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with UVM or OVM methodology.
  • Scripting experience (Perl or Python).
  • Experience developing testbenches and verification environments and executing verification plans.
  • Experience with simulation tools and debugging pre-silicon issues.
  • Ability to design reusable verification components and perform regression testing.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with code coverage and functional coverage.
  • Experience with X-propagation and multiple RTL simulators.
  • Experience with Ethernet protocols.

Education Requirements
