FPGA Silicon Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement RTL for FPGA-based cell libraries, IP blocks, and subsystems for integration into full-chip silicon. Work with architecture, physical implementation, and verification teams to meet functional, timing, power, and area targets.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this role include designing, coding, and validating RTL and supporting device bring-up.
- Develop RTL (Verilog/VHDL) for cell libraries, IP blocks, and functional units.
- Create and run simulations and prototypes to validate functionality, timing, and power.
- Define microarchitecture and participate in architecture decisions for assigned blocks.
- Prepare logic diagrams and implementation-ready code from system/test specifications.
- Collaborate with physical implementation teams to meet performance, power, and area goals.
- Review and support verification plans; diagnose and fix failing RTL tests.
- Deliver software models and support device-level bring-up of user-visible features.
Requirements
Key must-have and preferred skills.
- Must-have: 15+ years of RTL design experience using Verilog and VHDL.
- Must-have: Hands-on experience with FPGA, custom IC, or ASIC design and verification across architecture, design, and validation phases.
- Must-have: Familiarity with logic simulation and design verification methodologies.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Ethernet/ANLT and NIOS.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with scripting languages: Python, Perl, TCL, and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent). The posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of degree.
