Role Summary

Project Hardware Development Engineer focused on FPGA RTL design and verification for industrial products. The role delivers RTL implementations, verification environments, and FPGA integration support to ensure reliable, high-quality designs.

Position is based in Milwaukee, WI with a hybrid work arrangement. Offers include health insurance and flexible work schedules.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 7+ years of electronics or logic design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include RTL design, verification, and supporting FPGA integration into systems.

  • Develop and maintain FPGA RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog and VHDL.
  • Design and execute verification environments and testbenches, including UVM-based verification.
  • Create and run test plans; identify, debug, and resolve RTL and integration issues.
  • Support FPGA synthesis, timing closure, and hardware bring-up activities.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce design and quality standards.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience. Nice-to-have items listed when applicable.

  • 7+ years of experience in electronic logic or FPGA RTL design.
  • Strong proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog; working knowledge of VHDL.
  • Experience with UVM and common simulation/verification flows.
  • Experience with FPGA integration, synthesis, and timing closure.
  • Proven ability to develop test plans and debug RTL/hardware issues.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado, Quartus) and common EDA tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
