Job Title
FPGA RTL Engineer (Verilog/SystemVerilog, UVM)
Role Summary
Project Hardware Development Engineer focused on FPGA RTL design and verification for industrial control products. The role involves RTL development, test-plan creation, verification using UVM and simulation tools, and supporting FPGA integration and bring-up.
Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to ensure high-quality, production-ready FPGA designs.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 7 years of electronics logic design experience as specified.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and integration of FPGA-based logic:
- Develop and maintain RTL using Verilog and SystemVerilog; work with VHDL as required.
- Implement verification environments and tests (UVM and other simulation methodologies).
- Create and execute test plans and verification strategies for FPGA designs.
- Support synthesis, timing closure, and integration with board-level hardware.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and maintain design documentation.
- Debug RTL and hardware/firmware interactions during bring-up and field validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, systems) to meet product requirements.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred:
-
Must-have: 7+ years of electronics/logic design experience; strong proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog; experience with RTL-based verification and test plan development; familiarity with FPGA integration and hardware bring-up; experience with simulation and version-control tools.
-
Also desirable: VHDL experience; experience with UVM testbenches; knowledge of synthesis tools, timing constraints, and timing closure processes; experience in industrial or embedded product environments.
Education Requirements
