FPGA IP Software Development Engineer
Role Summary
The engineer will implement and validate FPGA IP and subsystems using RTL, simulations, and FPGA development flows. Work is part of a wireless design team focused on IP implementation, verification handoff, and delivering production-ready logic.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include RTL development, simulation, and supporting the FPGA development flow.

- Develop and run testbenches and functional simulations to validate designs.
- Analyze design issues, debug RTL problems, and produce practical solutions.
- Collaborate with verification, backend, and system teams to integrate IP.
- Document design decisions and technical status clearly.

Must-have: Basic experience with Verilog or VHDL and digital design fundamentals (combinational/sequential logic, FSMs, pipelines).

Must-have: Exposure to testbenches and functional simulation (ModelSim, VCS, Xcelium) and basic SystemVerilog assertions/testbench concepts.

Must-have: Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and awareness of memory subsystems, clock domains, and reset strategies.

Must-have: Practical experience from internships or academic projects in RTL design, FPGA prototyping, or digital system design.

Preferred: Awareness of UVM; knowledge of synthesis flow and timing analysis (Design Compiler, Genus, Vivado); understanding of setup/hold timing and STA.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Relevant coursework or projects in VLSI, Digital Design, and Computer Architecture are expected.
