Role Summary

Mid-career FPGA engineer to design, implement, verify, and bring up FPGA-based systems for on-site aerospace applications. The role works within the engineering team in El Segundo, CA and collaborates with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver production-capable FPGA designs.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include implementation, verification, and integration of FPGA designs for spacecraft or related hardware.

• Develop and maintain RTL (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) for FPGA designs.
• Create and run simulation testbenches and functional verification.
• Perform synthesis, timing closure, and resource optimization using vendor toolflows.
• Participate in board bring-up, hardware debugging, and root-cause analysis in the lab.
• Integrate FPGA logic with firmware, software, and system-level interfaces.
• Document design decisions, test procedures, and results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and requirements.

Requirements
