Role Summary

Contract FPGA design engineer to develop and deliver FPGA-based products using VHDL on Xilinx devices. The role supports a 12+ month W2 contract and focuses on implementation, verification, integration, and program compliance.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically 3–5+ years of professional FPGA design experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver FPGA designs, verify functionality, and support integration and program reporting.

• Design and implement digital logic using VHDL targeting Xilinx FPGAs.
• Develop and run simulation testbenches; debug RTL and hardware issues.
• Use Xilinx Vivado toolflow for synthesis, implementation, and bitstream generation.
• Maintain and use revision control systems for source and build artifacts.
• Support lab bring-up, system integration, and field debug.
• Comply with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program reporting processes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and contract constraints.

• 3–5+ years of FPGA product design experience using VHDL.
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado toolchain.
• Experience with revision control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar program controls.
• Available for a 12+ month W2 contract and able to work onsite in Camden, NJ.

Nice-to-have: board-level interface experience, test automation, or system-level integration background.
