FPGA Engineer

Role Summary

Design, implement, verify, and maintain custom digital logic for FPGA-based products. Work closely with product development and software engineers to integrate FPGA logic with system-level components and maintain the existing FPGA codebase.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 2–4 years of relevant FPGA design experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on FPGA design, verification, integration, and ongoing maintenance.

• Design and implement digital circuitry in Verilog/SystemVerilog for Xilinx FPGAs.
• Create and execute verification and test plans for FPGA designs.
• Maintain and refactor existing FPGA codebase and documentation.
• Integrate FPGA logic with SoC subsystems and embedded software teams.
• Use Xilinx development tools and workflows for build, synthesis, and timing closure.
• Collaborate with product and software engineers to meet product requirements and schedules.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Proven experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs and Xilinx development environment.
• Experience working with SoC integration and FPGA-based product development.
• 2–4 years of practical FPGA design/verification experience.
• Ability to maintain and extend an existing FPGA codebase and associated documentation.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with CMOS imagers and image sensor interfaces.
• Embedded processor design and C programming for embedded systems.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or mathematics.
