Role Summary
Design, implement, and optimize FPGA-based solutions for signal processing and related defense applications within Warfare Systems at HII Mission Technologies. Work will support system engineering, integration, test, and verification activities at Wright-Patterson AFB (Dayton, OH).

Responsibilities
Contribute to total-system engineering and deliver FPGA hardware and test solutions for defense systems.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications; perform functional and trade-off analyses.
- Design, implement, and optimize FPGA logic for signal processing and sensor systems.
- Perform system integration, verification, validation, and test planning/execution across lab environments.
- Conduct RF chain analysis, radar/system performance analysis, and timeline/requirements allocation.
- Support test procedure and report development and technical publications for customer releases.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks; support technical and functional leadership.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, security, and physical/operational expectations.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development, integration, and verification in signal-processing contexts.
- Experience or strong interest in Radar or Electronic Warfare (EW) system design, testing, and sensor integration.
- Skills in RF chain analysis, radar performance analysis, and use of tools such as MATLAB for signal processing.
- Practical test execution experience across algorithms, software, hardware, and networking in lab facilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance (Secret clearance minimum to start).
- Willingness to travel as required; some assignments may require extended deployments (typically 2β3 weeks).
- Physical ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in adverse weather, climb ladders, and tolerate confined spaces and temperature extremes.
Education Requirements
