Foundry Product Engineer

Role Summary

The Foundry Product Engineer ensures manufacturing stability and production readiness for next-generation semiconductor products during high-volume production. The role works with design, test development, quality, manufacturing teams and external foundry suppliers to identify and resolve manufacturing issues and improve yield and process capability.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on ensuring manufacturability, resolving production issues, and driving continuous improvement with foundry partners.

  • Analyze product performance, foundry e-test and yield data to identify manufacturability issues and root causes.
  • Lead cross-functional manufacturing taskforces to resolve foundry supplier issues, customer returns, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Evaluate manufacturing windows and assess process capabilities to optimize throughput and yield.
  • Work with foundry suppliers to track corrective actions, manage process excursions, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Perform material disposition and decision-making after yield testing in high-volume production.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for day-one effectiveness, followed by preferred qualifications.

  • Must-have: 8+ years foundry industrial experience with demonstrated foundry supplier management for advanced technology nodes.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in yield and test data analysis (test logs, DFT, diagnosis) and process manufacturing knowledge.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to manage quality events and drive corrective actions independently.
  • Must-have: Fluency in Korean and English; strong presentation and teamwork skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience leading complex projects to manufacturing readiness and driving cost or manufacturability improvements.
  • Nice-to-have: Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments and supplier continuous-improvement programs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a semiconductor-related field, or equivalent practical experience as stated in the posting.
