Foundry Engineer for Advanced Technology, Sr. Staff

Role Summary

Lead the bring-up, qualification, and ramp of advanced semiconductor process technologies for Qualcomm's Automotive products. Work with internal cross-functional teams and external foundry partners to define technology roadmap, ensure robust process integration, achieve high yield, and maintain product reliability.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead bring-up, qualification, and volume ramp of advanced process technologies for automotive ASICs.
  • Define and execute technology and process-integration roadmaps with internal product/design teams and foundry partners.
  • Drive manufacturing yield improvement, defect pareto analysis, and implement repair schemes.
  • Debug complex reliability and production issues across the product lifecycle; coordinate failure analysis (FA).
  • Perform data-driven and statistical analysis for device and yield optimization using appropriate tools.
  • Communicate technical status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and build productive relationships with partners.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Several years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related semiconductor experience at a senior level.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience in semiconductor process development, process integration, and yield improvement.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with process flow, device physics, testing methods, repair schemes, and reliability engineering.
  • Must-have: Strong data analysis and statistical skills and experience with tools for device and yield analysis.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of yield improvement methodology and failure analysis processes.

  • Nice-to-have: Experience leading semiconductor process development programs or multi-year leadership of process/yield projects.
