Foundation IP Memory Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Central Engineering Group to develop and validate foundation IP for AI products, including memory compilers, logic cells and custom macros on advanced process nodes. The team focuses on memory validation, simulation, and silicon correlation to ensure robust memory IP delivery.

Work spans functional verification, transistor-level simulation, EM/IR and signal-integrity analysis, automation, and collaboration with memory designers and modelling teams.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include verifying memory IP, performing analysis and simulations, automating flows, and supporting silicon bring-up.

• Perform functional verification of custom memory macros and memory compilers; diagnose root causes and resolve design discrepancies.
• Conduct signal integrity, EM/IR, and reliability analysis; identify weaknesses and propose mitigations.
• Run transistor-level simulations to check for power-up, lock-up, timing, and internal margin issues; identify characterization gaps.
• Validate timing and power models and perform QA checks on characterization data.
• Develop scripts to automate verification flows and data analysis.
• Support silicon debug and correlate silicon results to SPICE models.
• Collaborate with memory designers, modelling leads, and managers to define and execute memory validation plans.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior and device physics.
• Experience with signal integrity, EM/IR, and reliability analysis.
• Proficiency running circuit simulators and developing automation/scripting for verification flows.
• Experience with silicon debug and SPICE model correlation.
• Ability to collaborate across design, modelling, and validation teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of memory behavioral and physical models.
• Expertise in memory circuit design.
• Understanding of DFT schemes and chip-level integration.
• Leadership, communication, and multitasking skills.

Education Requirements

Requires a BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
