Role Summary

Join Arm's Infrastructure Solutions team to lead release engineering and CI/CD for embedded firmware stacks used on Arm-based platforms. You will work with a distributed engineering team to streamline firmware build, validation, and delivery workflows across SoC programs and customer releases.

Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain build, CI/CD, and release processes for embedded firmware and platform software.

• Design, implement, and maintain build systems and pipelines for embedded firmware stacks (TF-A, UEFI, SCP, bootloaders, Linux).
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for firmware build, validation, and release (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Automate firmware image generation, signing, packaging, and release workflows.
• Collaborate with firmware, platform, and validation teams to debug build, integration, and test issues.
• Enable per-patch and nightly CI workflows to detect issues early and improve code quality.
• Integrate and manage static analysis and compliance tools into pipelines.
• Support release engineering activities: versioning, tagging, artifact management, and partner delivery.
• Improve developer productivity by enhancing tooling, automation, and documentation.
• Drive standardization and scalability across multiple SoC programs and customer releases.

Requirements

• Proven experience in DevOps / build & release or embedded software release engineering.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with embedded firmware components and platform software stacks.
• In-depth understanding of C/C++ build systems (Make, CMake) and Linux development environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Experience in release management, versioning, and artifact handling.
• Understanding of SoC architecture and integration challenges.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for build and integration issues; effective communication across teams.

• Experience with firmware signing, secure boot, or image generation workflows.
• Familiarity with Yocto/OpenEmbedded or embedded Linux build systems.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with test automation frameworks, validation pipelines, and CI/test metrics/dashboarding.
